Description

ASARIA, a startup created in 2022 and based in Nancy, soon in Strasbourg, is developing an augmented surgery medical device to assist surgeons before and during their operations. A configurable virtual cockpit projects images from operational monitors, 2D and 3D x-rays, 3D planning images and models as well as patient parameters onto an augmented reality headset. Seeing better allows the surgeon to increase the precision of the interventional gesture, make the surgery less invasive and less aggressive, increase the safety of the interventions and reduce the operative risk. New image processing and 3D reconstruction functions associated with artificial intelligence will offer new practices and benefits for the profession. Several surgical teams are mobilized to design a multidisciplinary and versatile device, capable of adapting to each act and each specialty, applicable not only to high-tech surgery as well as routine surgery, but also to the training of future surgeons such as innovative educational tool for medical learning and training in surgical gestures and interventions.
