Description
Ana Helman is the Executive Director at the European Center for Quantum Sciences (University of Strasbourg), where she is responsible for managing the aQCess quantum computing platform, the Interreg Upper Rhine cross-border collaboration program UpQuantVal, and the development of new initiatives and partnerships.
Her background includes managing large-scale collaborative research programs in the fields of physics, materials science, nanotechnologies, and research infrastructures. She has also worked on promoting transatlantic collaboration between the United States and Europe at the National Science Foundation - Europe Office. She was among the initiators of the Graphene Flagship program as head of European alignment and a member of the Executive Committee. Her scientific background is in semiconductor physics and materials science, with experience in academic and industrial research. She has served as an advisor and expert to the European Commission and international organizations such as the OECD and UNESCO.
