Description
Deputy Managing Director of Huawei France since 2017, Minggang Zhang, will also manage public relations for the French subsidiary and coordinate the team in charge of exchanges with institutional players, journalists, the academic world and professional associations.
Minggang Zhang began his career as a design engineer, then as marketing director at TRT, the subsidiary of Phillips dedicated to telecommunications systems, which will later be taken over by the American Lucent. Between 1998 and 2002, the American equipment manufacturer sent him to Boston to set up a marketing department dedicated to Asia and China. He then returned to France and left the group to join, as co-founder, the start-up, Optogone, which specializes in optical components. Following the acquisition of the latter, he joined Huawei in 2007, as director of the Orange France account. In 2011, he took over as head of the Bouygues Telecom portfolio, a position he held until 2017, when he was promoted to deputy general manager and joined the company's executive committee.
This 61-year-old Francophile completed his higher education at the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, after graduating from the École Normale Supérieure in Canton, China. Minggang Zhang obtained his engineering degree in 1990.
