Photonics - science and technology using light - has for 50 years enabled the development of telecommunications, medicine, renewable energy, and will tomorrow be a source of innovation also for cryptography, data processing and calculation neuro-inspired. The Photonics Institute currently being built in the Grand Est region will be the first in France to develop research, innovation, training and scientific culture in photonics, by bringing together public and private partners.
