Description
A chemical engineer by training, Olivier Weymann began his career as a formulator for a manufacturer of glues and adhesives. Taken by the industry virus, he joined the SOPREMA Group in 1999, first as Production Manager for the development of the "liquid sealing" activity, then, in 2004, at the Strasbourg Plant Management. . Until 2017, he contributed with the internal teams to improving the performance of a historic industrial site of the Group while monitoring structuring investment projects. In particular with the implementation of the delivery of bitumen (main material of the site) by river in 2013, the “Calypso” project.
In July 2017, driven by strong societal convictions, he became Group Environmental Strategy Director. In his charge, the development of CSR in the company with the common thread of the challenges of climate change and carbon accounting. The objective is twofold: to implement actions to reduce the Group's greenhouse gas emissions but also to contribute to reducing those of SOPREMA's customers.
